The wheel that sold itself “by accident”

I was conferring with my warehouse manager colleague when a gentleman came in to us, told my colleague Zoli why he had come, and waited for someone to hand over the goods made ready for him in advance. At that point the door opened and another gentleman came in as well, who had also come for his goods. Outside, snow was falling.

Only a few minutes passed in waiting like this, because the orders placed in advance had already been gathered together, and only a little paperwork was still left. Meanwhile the gentlemen fell into conversation with each other, which I could not help noticing::

— How are things with you, my dear Szerdzsó? — asked the gentleman who had arrived later. — Do you shop here too?
— I have been buying stainless screws here for a very long time. What are you taking?
— I am not taking screws this time, but stainless wheels. — said the gentleman who had arrived later.
— Wheels? I did not even know that they sell wheels too. What kind of wheels? May I have a look?

A serious inspection followed, and then the interested party spoke up:

— Then I will take 4 of each now, as a sample and to try out. — he said, not concealing his interest.
— Now then, you can put those wheels back into my box! — said the man who had arrived second, feigning disapproval but smiling mischievously, while he gently took the braked wheel from his friend’s hand and slid it back into the plastic bag out of which it had been taken a moment before.
— Do not worry, there is still stock, I will have 4 of each brought out right away!

Then they turned almost at the same moment to the gentleman who had suddenly taken a liking to the wheels because of his friend, and both wanted to ask him something, but the man who had arrived second was a little quicker than my colleague, and it was he who put the question to his acquaintance:

— You have been coming here for a long time, and you did not even know that stainless wheels are available here?
