Fully threaded hex-head bolt in stainless (A2) and acid-resistant (A4) versions

DIN 933 bolt

DIN 933 – A2/A4/A4-80

Our most widespread NONOX stainless and acid-resistant bolt, and the one with the largest size range — but take care: the length of hex-head bolts is understood without the head!

Ordering examples:

Standard thread – DIN 933 A2 M10 x 30 500 pcs
Fine thread – DIN 961 A2 M10 x 1,25 x 30 500 pcs “M” = metric

Typical fields of application:

The thread of the bolts is rolled*, their heads are cold-forged. These processes are fast and productive, and at the same time free of chips and waste, which makes production cheap and the dimensions accurate.

*Thread-rolling dies (steel plates or rollers carrying the impression of the thread) press the thread into the surface of the bolt shank under high pressure, without damaging the grain structure of the shank.

The external drive head design provides efficient torque transfer, but it does make external access necessary. Typical examples are steel structures, scaffolding, machines, equipment, certain pipe joints and their fittings, etc.

Caution — risk of galling!

A bolt with an austenitic material structure (stainless and acid-resistant) tends to seize onto a nut of the same material grade. You can find details on avoiding galling here: How to avoid galling of stainless steel fasteners
