WEH GmbH. offers an efficient solution for the pressure and functional testing of hydraulic components operating under high pressure. The special TW19 type, a hand-operated quick coupling with 6 thread segments, is excellently suited to leak-free pressure tests of internally threaded components. Thanks to the design of its clamping jaws, the TW19 closes quickly and securely even under intense lateral force, as for example with heavy or rigid hoses.

The forces acting on the clamping jaws change in proportion to the test pressure, that is, the higher the pressure, the more tightly the jaws grip the workpiece.
The hand-operated connection is practical, and replaces conventional screwed fastening.
The couplings are made of stainless steel and are fitted with a sealing ring matched to the intended application. Standard couplings operate at a nominal pressure of max. 350 bar. (For a product operating at higher pressure, request our individual quote!)

WEH hand-operated couplings

The TW17 type was developed for internally threaded components, the TW18 type for externally threaded ones. The body of the coupling can be made of stainless steel or cast steel, in several sizes and thread designs. The hand operation makes it possible to create a leak-free connection without screwing. When the handle is pulled in, the clamping jaws at the end of the coupling contract in the case of the TW19 developed for internal threads, and open out in the case of the TW18 developed for external threads, thereby allowing quick, manual engagement with the thread. When the handle is released, the clamping jaws return to their initial position and so grip the thread on the workpiece, thereby ensuring the leak-free connection. After this, pressure can be applied through the inlet opening on the side of the coupling.On disconnection, the clamping jaws release when the pressure is removed and the lever is then pulled in.
